Dan + Stella + Baby Bump + Sunset {Pittsburgh Maternity Photography}

There was a bit of rain in the forecast, but we decided to proceed onward! It was a typical Pennsylvania day, in that if you don’t like the weather, you’re advised to just wait 5 minutes. It will likely change! And OH MY WORD. That sunset! That sunset was REDEEMING of the dreary day it had been. As we were finishing up and heading to our cars, the sky turned pink and purple like the yummiest of cotton candy (have I mentioned I LOVE cotton candy?). Such a beautiful sky, painted by a truly good God, for an incredibly sweet couple… May I introduce you to Dan, Stella, and a sweet baby bump:

Engagement in the Arboretum

Jesse and I took a walk around the Penn State campus as we prepared a game plan for the big proposal - where he wanted to propose if it was raining and where he wanted to propose if it was sunny. Oh! and then where he wanted to propose if there were people where he wanted to propose! We made a secret code that I could text him (“Happy Belated Birthday”) when I had arrived at the location. He changed my name in his phone so it would appear the text was from a college buddy. He wrote a song and entrusted me with his guitar, the ring, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Jesse and Margee were then sent on a “quick trip to the grocery store” before dinner. Well…you can probably guess what happened next. If not, here are some pictures ;)

Baby Ezra {Pittsburgh In-Home Newborn Photography}

You know how some people like to be 15 minutes early to every event? God bless them. I always come early to photo shoots (primarily because I like to scout out the best photo-taking spots), but getting me early to church or my 8am corporate job is TOUGH. Well guys, sweet Baby Ezra was so excited to meet his mommy and daddy that he decided to come early to the party. So maybe he’ll become one of those early people later in life? Or maybe he’ll be more concerned with fixing snacks for the road (please tell me that’s not just me…). Regardless, he’s super cute. And early or late, we’re so glad he’s here!

Sweet Ezra finally graduated from the NICU and is home with Mom and Dad! When I met him, he weighed just over 5 pounds. He was full of adorable expressions and sleepy yawns. Here’s a little snapshot of our time together.
